Spartak beat Rubin 4-0 to move third in the Russian Premier League

Spartak beat Rubin 4-0 at home in the 11th round of Russia’s Premier League on Sunday.

The Moscow club is coached by Juan Carlos Carcedo, while Rubin is based in Kazan.

Spartak had recently drawn with Krylya Sovetov, while Rubin had lost to Dynamo Moscow and Orenburg.

The result leaves Spartak third with 23 points, keeping it among the teams competing near the top of the table.

Carcedo said defender Christopher Wooh was left out because he had played two matches in a row and the coach wanted to give others time on the field.

Spartak next face CSKA away on October 25.
