SK Innovation holds healing camp for 50 care workers in Seoul
SK Innovation held a two-day healing camp in Seoul for 50 care workers, including social workers and people who support older adults living alone.
The camp took place on October 26 and 27 and marked the return of a programme paused during the COVID-19 pandemic.
South Korea is ageing rapidly, and growing demand for care is adding to workers’ strain and emotional exhaustion.
The programme included an expert talk on managing burnout, recreation and time to connect with colleagues.
The camp aimed to support workers’ recovery and help them recharge after caring for older people.
Since 2017, SK Innovation says about 36,000 people, including company volunteers and care workers, have taken part in efforts to support older adults living alone.
