Viral video shows mouse among donuts at Dunkin’ in Eindhoven

A mouse was filmed among donuts at a Dunkin’ shop in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, and the video drew millions of views.

The footage led to the shop becoming widely known online, while customers nearby reacted in different ways.

Dunkin’ said the mice did not come from inside the shop.

It linked their movement to construction near the Piazza shopping centre and Eindhoven station, which may have opened routes through shared drains and sewers.

The company said donuts the mouse may have touched were thrown away and that no contaminated food was sold.

It also said customers faced no risk.

The viral footage prompted concern about food safety, and the Dutch food safety authority was reported to be checking the shop.
