Islamic business leaders urge stronger trade and investment partnerships

At a business summit in Istanbul, Islamic Chamber chairman Abdullah Saleh Kamel called for stronger partnerships among businesses in countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

He said these countries have capital, resources, markets and skilled people, but must turn that potential into real investments, projects and lasting partnerships.

Kamel argued that industrial cooperation can strengthen businesses, while better logistics can steady supply routes, ease trade and increase exports.

The summit is part of B57+, an initiative launched in 2025 to connect business leaders from the 57 OIC member countries with partners around the world.

Kamel announced a European chapter of B57+ will begin activities in Brussels in the coming weeks, aiming to build trade and investment links with European businesses.

The initiative also includes an annual summit and work on resolving commercial disputes through mediation and arbitration.

Kamel said its success should be judged by the projects and investments it delivers, and the chamber wants B57+ to support cooperation throughout the year.
