Seahawks rule out Drake Thomas and Zach Charbonnet against Broncos

The Seattle Seahawks ruled out linebacker Drake Thomas and running back Zach Charbonnet for Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos in Denver.

Thomas injured his ankle against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, while Charbonnet is recovering from February knee surgery.

Tyrice Knight will start at weakside linebacker in Thomas's absence.

Charbonnet, a co-starter last season, is still on the physically unable to perform list and will not play against Denver.

Seattle's backfield will continue to be led by Emanuel Wilson and George Holani, with rookie Jadarian Price also out on injured reserve.

The Seahawks have until next Thursday to activate Charbonnet, but coach Mike Macdonald said the team is focused on the game and will decide how to handle his return later.

The Broncos will also be without cornerback Patrick Surtain II and safety Talanoa Hufanga, while cornerback Riley Moss is questionable.
