Colts plan to keep defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore
The Indianapolis Colts plan to keep defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore rather than trade him before the Nov.
10 deadline.
The 25-year-old joined the team as a fourth-round pick in 2023 and is playing in the final year of his rookie contract.
The Colts have traded other players, including defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, as they sell before the deadline.
Adebawore has already matched his four sacks from last season and has recorded a personal-best eight quarterback hits.
Buckner’s departure could give Adebawore more chances to play after he made one start this season.
A strong finish could help him earn a new contract from Indianapolis or a deal with another team in free agency.
The Colts may offer him an extension before he reaches the open market.

Circling back here, I spoke to two teams today that talked to the #Colts about DT Adetomiwa Adeboware and were told he’s staying put. Indy sees him as a big part of the picture moving forward. Surely that means working to extend him before he hits the FA market after the season.
