Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra tipped to use Snapdragon chips in South Korea

A new leak says Samsung plans Snapdragon chips for the S27 Pro and Ultra in South Korea.

The Galaxy S27 phones are expected to arrive in early 2027, but Samsung has not confirmed the details.

The leak says the Ultra would use Qualcomm’s more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, while the Pro would use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

The standard S27 and S27+ are expected to use Samsung’s Exynos 2700 in most markets, with Snapdragon versions likely for North America.

Earlier reports said Samsung was considering Exynos chips for the top models in South Korea and Europe, partly after concerns about Snapdragon chip efficiency and heat.

Qualcomm has rejected claims of systemic thermal problems, and the new leak says cost considerations are behind Samsung’s reported choice.

The processor plan remains unconfirmed, and the leak does not say whether the same choice will apply in other markets.
