Korean job ads naming AI tools rose 170% in third quarter

Job ads in South Korea increasingly name specific AI tools that applicants are expected to use.

JobKorea analyzed postings from the third quarter of this year and compared them with the same period last year.

Ads mentioning tools such as Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT rose by 170%.

Claude had the fastest growth, at 770%, while Gemini postings rose 500%.

Ads mentioning ways of using AI, including prompt engineering and AI agents, increased by 235%.

Meanwhile, postings that mentioned skills such as Microsoft Word and Photoshop declined, and the share requiring a specific preferred university major also fell.

The figures suggest that employers are focusing more on practical AI tool skills, but no further action or next step was specified.
