Apple says natural Siri commands are central to its HomeView hub

Apple says its HomeView hub is built around Siri AI and simple voice controls for the home.

The device is a tabletop or wall-mounted smart home hub that Apple announced on October 13.

Apple executives say people can use ordinary speech to control compatible devices, such as asking Siri to change a thermostat’s temperature.

Siri is designed to act with fewer follow-up questions, then show users what they need and let them move on.

HomeView can recognize up to six people and show information tailored to each person.

Personal-context requests require a paired device that supports Apple Intelligence, though general questions and conversations do not.

The hub costs $299 in the United States and launches November 13; Apple says its Siri AI capabilities will continue to evolve.

A lot of these assistants out there are always asking questions because they want more information. For us, it isn't about that. We're there to get it done, take an action for you, show you what you need to get done, and then really get out of the way.
