Carson Daly to co-anchor NBC’s Saturday Today with Laura Jarrett

Carson Daly will co-anchor NBC’s Saturday Today with Laura Jarrett, starting November 7.

He has worked for NBC since 2002 and has been a correspondent and co-anchor on the weekday Today show since 2013.

Daly will add Saturdays while continuing his weekday Today work, which means he is expected to work six days a week for NBC News.

He will also continue hosting and executive producing The Voice, and executive producing The Voice: Celebrity.

The change fills the role left by Peter Alexander, who left for a new anchor role at MS NOW.

NBC says Daly’s hosting experience and Jarrett’s focus on legal issues will complement each other, while Joe Fryer and meteorologist Angie Lassman will remain on the show.

The new pairing begins this weekend, as NBC adjusts its Saturday program lineup.
