Indonesia to Exclude High-Concentration Shares From IHSG From November

The Indonesia Stock Exchange will exclude high-concentration shares from the IHSG, the country’s main stock index.

High shareholding concentration, or HSC, is the category the exchange uses for these shares.

The change takes effect on 2 November 2026, and extends an existing exclusion for shares on the Acceleration Board.

The exchange will continue to calculate the index using market value adjusted for free float, with each share capped at a 9% weight.

Index reviews will move to January, April, July and October, while changes to the index will take effect in February, May, August and November.

Shares that enter or leave the HSC category between review periods will be adjusted in the IHSG without waiting for the next review.
