South Korea’s largest labor federation delays vote on social dialogue return
The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions could not vote on returning to a government-linked labor dialogue body because too few delegates remained.
About 270 delegates opposed to the proposal left the meeting, leaving it short of the required number for a vote.
The federation’s leader ruled out holding an online meeting to decide the issue.
Instead, members’ views will be tested in the election for a new leader next month.
