Fakhar Zaman’s 127 leads Pakistan to tri-series final win over Sri Lanka

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by three wickets in the final of a one-day international tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium.

Sri Lanka made 325 for eight after batting first, with Kamindu Mendis scoring 131, his first ODI century.

Fakhar Zaman scored 127 to lead Pakistan’s chase despite a bruised knee and a run of low scores.

He and 19-year-old Saad Baig, who made 74, added 149 runs after Pakistan lost two early wickets.

Arafat Minhas made 61 from 31 balls as Pakistan reached 331 for seven in 48.3 overs.

Dew made the ball difficult for Sri Lanka’s bowlers to control during the chase.

Pakistan lifted the tri-series trophy, while England was knocked out after losing three of its four games.
