Mbappé becomes youngest player to reach 100 Champions League appearances

Kylian Mbappé reached 100 Champions League appearances at age 27 in Real Madrid’s match against Roma on Wednesday.

He became the youngest player to reach that mark, beating Lionel Messi’s record, set at age 28 against Roma in 2015.

Mbappé scored in Real Madrid’s 4-3 win after Roma took the lead.

He made his Champions League debut for Monaco in 2016, aged 17, before playing for Real Madrid.

His goal was his 72nd in the competition, moving him ahead of former Madrid player Raúl González into fifth place on its career scoring list.

The milestone adds to Mbappé’s standing among the competition’s leading players; he also topped its scoring chart last season with 15 goals.
