Pertamina Acquires Moeve Interests in Three Algerian Oil and Gas Fields
Pertamina acquired Moeve’s interests in three Algerian fields in the Berkine Basin.
The deal was made through Pertamina Algeria EP, a subsidiary, and involves Moeve subsidiaries.
The transaction is still being completed and needs approval from Algerian authorities.
The fields are Rhourde el Khrouf, Bir el Msana and Ourhoud.
Pertamina Algeria EP has operated in Algeria since 2012, managing the company’s upstream oil and gas activity there.
Pertamina says the deal will strengthen its international portfolio and help support Indonesia’s energy supply by making use of production from overseas assets.
The next step is securing the required approvals in Algeria.
