Steve McQueen brings Nina Simone and David Bowie recordings together in Bilbao installation

The installation combines recordings of Nina Simone from 1966 and David Bowie from 1976, singing the same song without instruments.

Their voices seem to answer each other in a sound piece that runs for about 11 minutes.

Artist Steve McQueen says the work is about love and the risk of being hurt.

He sees that message as important in a time when fear is widespread.
