Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan discuss fallout over film release dates

On Koffee With Karan, Karan Johar discussed a past fallout with Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Johar said the disagreement began when Dhawan’s film was set for the same release date as a film Johar planned to release.

Dhawan said he had told Johar he might use that date, while Johar said it had not been confirmed at the time.

Johar said he was hurt when Dhawan later sent him a message saying, “Stop acting like a child,” and stopped replying to his calls and messages.

Dhawan said he had not realised Johar was upset, and Janhvi knew there was tension between them.

The three said everything is good between them now, and the discussion offered no further steps or plans.
