Man arrested after two disturbances at Seoul luxury car dealership
A man in his 50s was arrested after two incidents at a luxury car dealership in Seoul's Hannam-dong neighborhood.
Police say he went there on October 12 to complain about damage or a possible defect in a car he had bought, then hit staff with his fists and a belt and damaged a plastic shovel.
He returned the next morning, allegedly driving while drunk, blocking the entrance with his car and threatening staff over their police report.
The dealership and the man dispute how the first fight began: he says a staff member hit him first, while the dealership says staff tried to restrain him after he became violent.
Police are investigating assault and threats, and plan to question an employee about whether there was violence by both sides.
Police say his alcohol level was below the legal threshold for a DUI charge, though he is accused of driving back to the dealership after drinking.
Investigators say they will review CCTV footage and witness accounts to establish what happened.
