Singapore's non-oil exports rose 68.4% in September

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports rose 68.4% in September compared with a year earlier, extending strong growth in August.

These exports measure goods made in Singapore, excluding oil, and ship and boat structures led the increase in non-electronics shipments.

Electronics exports rose 107.6%, helped by demand linked to artificial intelligence and shipments of disk media, integrated circuits and personal computers.

Exports to Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States increased, while shipments to India fell 5.6%.

The rise in exports was part of a wider expansion in trade: total merchandise trade grew 50.8%, with imports also up 49.9%.

Non-oil domestic exports increased 27.6% over the first nine months of 2026, though no next steps were stated.
