BNP Paribas appoints Christoph-Sebastian Meier to lead Swiss investment banking

BNP Paribas has created a new investment banking unit in Switzerland and appointed Christoph-Sebastian Meier to lead it from Zurich.

Meier took up the role on November 2, 2026, and will focus especially on advisory work.

He has 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, including a decade at Lincoln International in Zurich, and has worked as an independent adviser since 2025.

The unit will advise companies, financial institutions, investors, families, entrepreneurs and founders on acquisitions, sales and capital-market deals.

It will work closely with BNP Paribas’s wealth management and corporate and financial institution coverage teams.

The expansion is part of BNP Paribas’s long-term Swiss growth plan, and the bank says the new unit will help it serve clients across these areas.
