Korea Investment Management launches Morgan Stanley global fund

Korea Investment Management has launched a fund for South Korean investors that invests in Morgan Stanley’s Global Opportunity Fund.

The product is a fund of funds, meaning it puts its money into another fund rather than directly buying shares in companies.

The Morgan Stanley fund holds shares in 30 to 40 global companies, selected from themes including AI, financial platforms and brands.

Investors can choose a version with the Korean won hedged against currency movements, one without that hedge, or a US dollar version.

Korea Investment Securities began selling the fund exclusively on October 26, with the initial subscription period running through November 6.

Investors will also be able to join after that period ends.
