Lenskart shares fall as investor proposes stake sale worth up to ₹1,691 crore

Lenskart shares fell as much as 5% on the BSE after early investor Alpha Wave Ventures proposed selling part of its holding.

The proposed sale covers up to 26.4 million shares, or 1.6% of Lenskart, and could raise as much as ₹1,691 crore.

The offer has a floor price of ₹640 per share, below the stock’s October 9 closing price of ₹677.65.

If Alpha Wave sells all the shares on offer, its stake would fall to 1.82% from 3.42%.

Other early investors, including SoftBank, Temasek and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, have also sold shares in recent months.

Those sales have added pressure to the stock, even though it has risen more than 48% this year and Lenskart reported higher profit and revenue in its latest quarter.

The proposed transaction is not described as completed.
