Netflix documentary on UFC chief Dana White reportedly planned for 2027

Netflix is reportedly developing a documentary about UFC chief Dana White, with a premiere anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.

The project was first conceived as a documentary about Las Vegas before shifting to focus on White and the UFC’s growth.

Director Gotham Chopra is leading the untitled project; his earlier sports documentaries featured Tom Brady and LeBron James.

The film is expected to examine White’s role in the UFC’s acquisition by Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta and its later sale to an Endeavor-led group.

The documentary is expected to cover the UFC’s ownership history as well as its rise.

Netflix reportedly approved it while pursuing UFC media rights, but Paramount secured the U.S. rights in a seven-year agreement worth $7.7 billion.

A release is anticipated in early 2027, but no official date or title has been announced, and Chopra has not commented publicly.
