Lukas Hässig charged over reporting on former Raiffeisen chief
Zurich prosecutors have charged journalist Lukas Hässig over his reporting on former Raiffeisen chief Pierin Vincenz.
Hässig, who runs the news site Inside Paradeplatz, is accused of allegedly violating bank secrecy in his coverage.
Beat Stocker, a business associate of Vincenz, complained that Hässig’s reporting invaded his privacy.
Prosecutors had closed the case in December 2025, but Stocker appealed and won, leading to the charge.
Hässig tried unsuccessfully to stop the case from going to court, and a search of his office and home took place in June 2025.
The penalty will be announced at trial, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Separately, the case against Vincenz, Stocker and others remains pending, with its verdict due on January 11, 2027.
