Subbed Digimon Tamers Blu-ray set for release on November 24
Discotek Media has confirmed a subbed Blu-ray of Digimon Tamers for release on November 24, 2026.
The series first aired in Japan in 2001 and is largely separate from the earlier Digimon Adventure seasons.
The release presents the original Japanese version with subtitles, rather than the English dub.
The dub changed dialogue and characterization and made other edits, so the Japanese version offers a different way to experience the story.
The series follows digital monsters and a threat that reaches Earth from their parallel world, the Digital World.
The release gives fans a chance to watch the version as originally intended, and pre-orders are available now.
Discotek Media has set a November 24, 2026 release date for a Japanese-language, subtitled Blu-ray of Digimon Tamers.
Pre-orders are available through mediaOCD.
The release follows an HD remaster and Blu-ray release of the English dub in August 2026.
The original Japanese version differs from the dub in dialogue, characterization and other content.
Digimon Tamers first aired in April 2001 on Fuji TV.
