Vijay Deverakonda says Ranabaali will rank among Telugu cinema’s best this year

Vijay Deverakonda says Ranabaali will be one of Telugu cinema’s best films this year.

The historical drama stars Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna and is directed by Rahul Sankrityan.

It opened in theatres to mixed reviews, despite anticipation from fans of the two actors.

Deverakonda said the film’s purpose was bigger than box-office success and that he believed its story was important to tell.

He expects it to leave a lasting mark on his career and Telugu cinema.

Mandanna described it as a story about hunger, survival, love and standing up for one’s people, and urged families to see it in theatres.

The film is now playing in theatres, though no further plans were stated.
