Modern Warfare 4 campaign early access begins for pre-order customers

Modern Warfare 4’s campaign early access began October 16 for people who pre-ordered the game.

Players can access it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC.

Infinity Ward asked players to avoid campaign spoilers so others can experience the story for themselves.

The game is expected to close the current Modern Warfare storyline, which began with the 2019 game.

Campaign progress also unlocks operator rewards for multiplayer and the upcoming DMZ mode.

DMZ is set to open October 20 for pre-order customers, while multiplayer and the full game launch on October 23.

Activision says a new Call of Duty sub-franchise is in development, but has not shared further details.
