Police to interview Northern Ireland First Minister over parade protest

Police are investigating a protest that blocked an Orange Order parade from passing through a Catholic area in Portadown.

First Minister Michelle O’Neill says police have invited her to an interview, and she will cooperate.

The parade was allowed to use the route for the first time since it was banned in 1998.

The dispute touches on tensions linked to Northern Ireland’s past conflict and is also before the courts.
