Soekarno-Hatta Airport Wins Two Asia-Pacific Awards

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Indonesia won two Asia-Pacific awards for its performance and cleanliness.

Located in Tangerang, Banten, it was named the region’s best airport among those handling more than 40 million passengers a year.

It also received the title of Cleanest Airport in Asia-Pacific.

The airport was separately awarded Level 4 accreditation for customer experience by Airports Council International.

General Manager Heru Karyadi said the airport is changing its facilities, operations and staff training, with technology supporting the work.

The accreditation reflects how different airport teams use passenger feedback and measure service quality.

Airport management says the awards are motivation to keep improving the travel experience, rather than an end point.
