Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine says weight comments made her feel pressured to explain

Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine says weight comments made her feel pressured to explain

Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine said she felt pressured to explain her weight loss after comments about her appearance.

The French presenter described the experience on Nora Hamzawi’s podcast, En apparence.

The remarks came during a public exchange on C à vous, where journalist Marc-Olivier Fogiel said she had lost weight.

Lemoine said she could choose whether to answer similar questions in private, but felt she had to respond in front of a large audience.

She started exercising in 2019 because she was very stressed and increased her activity during the Covid pandemic.

She says exercise has helped her sleep, breathe and feel better, without needing to follow a diet.

She says weight can change over time, and her comments highlight how questions about someone’s body can put them under pressure.
