Kling 4.0 adds tools to control AI-generated video
Kuaishou has opened Kling 4.0 to all users, adding a new version of its AI video-generation tool.
It can generate videos up to 30 seconds long and can extend existing videos.
Creators can provide up to 15 image, video or audio references and set up to 10 keyframes to guide characters, actions and scene changes.
These controls aim to keep characters and stories consistent, a challenge when AI-generated clips are joined into longer work.
The update also adds dual-channel audio, multi-language lip sync and access through MCP and CLI.
The focus is shifting from appearance to control, as creators need videos to follow their plans, not just look convincing.
Kling says 4K HDR and an enterprise API are due soon, though no timing is given.
Kuaishou’s Kling AI launched Kling 4.0, a video-generation model with features intended to give creators more control over generated videos.
The model supports native video generation of up to 30 seconds in one generation.
Creators can use up to 15 multimodal reference assets and 10 keyframes to guide videos.
Kling 4.0 also adds dual-channel audio, multi-language lip sync and MCP/CLI access, according to Pandaily.
The update targets challenges including character consistency, shot control and narrative continuity.
