Dolly Parton's nephew defends sister after museum job loss

Bryan Seaver defended his sister Rebecca after she lost her job at Dolly Parton's Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.

He said he was proud of her work building the museum and archive, and that there was no feud between her and their cousin Danielle Parton.

The museum opened in September inside Parton's SongTeller Hotel, where Rebecca had worked on the exhibit with Parton's sister Rachel.

Bryan was also let go from his job as security chief for Parton's properties and businesses in September.

He is involved in a legal dispute with Parton's estate, which obtained a temporary restraining order against him after its estate manager accused him of making threats; Bryan denies that his messages were threats.

Bryan said in a court filing that a $251,000 payment owed to his company for security work has since been settled.

The legal proceedings over the restraining order are ongoing, but no further steps are specified.
