Walter Delogu remembers son Evan one year after fatal crash

Evan Delogu died in a road crash in Bellaria Igea Marina on 29 October 2025, aged 17.

His father, Walter Delogu, has spoken about the loss a year later, and his sister is television and radio presenter Andrea Delogu.

Evan was on his way to a final driving lesson before his car-driving test when he failed to arrive, prompting the driving school to call his family.

Walter and his wife went to the crash scene, where he saw a white sheet and understood that Evan had died.

The family keeps Evan’s car as a reminder of him, and Walter says he will never sell it.

Evan had worked as a lifeguard and hoped to become a chef and open a Romagnol restaurant in the United States.

Walter says speaking with students about drug prevention has helped him cope with grief, while the family has grown closer.

Walter continues meeting students and sharing his experience, including through school visits and prevention campaigns.
