Schools told to follow class-time rules for blended learning

The National Center for Curricula told public schools to follow blended-learning timetable standards for boys and girls at all stages.

In-person school days have seven periods, lasting 45 minutes in elementary and intermediate grades and 50 minutes in secondary grades.

Remote-learning days have 11 periods, with minimum lesson lengths of 35 minutes in elementary and intermediate grades and 40 minutes in secondary grades.

Schools may add in-person periods by shortening lesson time, but lessons must remain at least 30 minutes in elementary and intermediate grades and 35 minutes in secondary grades.

The rules allow use of a minimum allocation of up to 5% of the periods assigned to subjects, while aiming to protect student concentration and stay within the school day.

Remote classes must fit alongside in-person days, and weekly periods at each stage must meet the totals in the curriculum planning guide.
