Businessman proposes 90-day India-Tatarstan tourism pilot

Manish Singhal proposed a 90-day pilot to promote tourism between India and Tatarstan.

Singhal, who chairs Indian conglomerate Dimaz Group, outlined the plan at a business forum in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan.

The first two months would identify partners and create tour packages, with meetings and trial trips also planned.

By day 90, organizers would assess inquiries and bookings and decide whether to expand the business.

Singhal wants Kazan to serve as a tourism and business hub for Indian visitors and companies.

The proposal includes industrial visits in Tatarstan and winter tourism, alongside trips to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sochi.

The pilot’s results would guide any expansion, but the proposal does not say whether the program has been approved or when it would begin.
