Wild boar crash on Germany’s B456 kills six animals and injures two

On Tuesday evening, a car hit a group of wild boars on the B456 in the Taunus, between Bad Homburg and Saalburg in Germany.

Six wild boars died in the collision.

Debris and spilled vehicle fluids spread along about 200 metres of road, forcing authorities to close both directions for several hours.

In the traffic jam, a driver tried to turn around and crashed into two other cars.

Two people were slightly injured, and one was taken to hospital for further checks.

Four vehicles and five people were involved in the incidents, and all four cars had to be towed.

Police estimate the total damage at about €105,000, and the closures caused major traffic disruption around Bad Homburg and Saalburg.
