Ferrari and Montblanc launch a $4,300 carbon-fibre fountain pen

Ferrari and Montblanc have released a $4,300 fountain pen in the United States.

The pen is inspired by Ferrari Tailor Made, a programme that lets owners choose colours, materials and finishes for their cars.

Its carbon-fibre body has blue thread woven through it, with glossy black fittings and an 18-carat gold nib coated in ruthenium.

The blue colour recalls the 1969 Ferrari Dino 246, named after Enzo Ferrari’s son.

Matching accessories cost extra, including a $185 notepad and a $595 pen case.

The collection’s pen is not Ferrari’s most expensive: a limited-edition Montblanc fountain pen inspired by the Daytona SP3 sells for $27,500.

The new pen is the second Ferrari Design Studio collaboration with Montblanc tied to Tailor Made; the first, the Classica, launched in 2025 at the same price.
