What people are saying
It was a crazy match. I did not start out as well as I would have liked, and I had a lot of match points. I missed some opportunities, but she also played really well in those moments. For me, I tried to play one point at a time and stay focused,
I don’t expect anything. I want to go out on the court and play some good tennis. Hopefully I can show a good level from start to finish,
Unbelievable effort from Ann Li and a real opportunity for her now. She’ll take on Janice Tjen in the next match, who took out [Daria] Snigur, so a massive opportunity for her. I’m sure with a few words in her home language, Chinese, to the crowd there, she’s going to have massive support in her next match as well,
