Nico Legat and Laura leave Sommerhaus der Stars early
Nico Legat and Laura Parrinello left Sommerhaus der Stars voluntarily shortly before the finale.
Laura said she had severe pain in her calf and could barely put weight on her leg.
The couple decided she could not safely take part in a challenge that required climbing rope ladders.
They ended their bid to win the competition rather than risk worsening her condition.
Some housemates doubted the explanation and suggested the couple might also want to escape tensions in the house, but the cause of Laura’s pain was not established.
Their departure cancelled a planned exit duel for Ginger and Lukas.
The season finale is scheduled for November 3 on RTL, with episodes available on RTL+ from October 27.
