Micah Parsons could return to Packers practice next week

Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons could return to practice next week after recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee.

He has been out since the injury in December 2025 and remains on the physically unable to perform list.

Coach Matt LaFleur said he “sure hope[s]” Parsons will return, a change from his earlier firm rejections, but said the decision rests with the medical team.

Once Parsons resumes practice, Green Bay will have three weeks to add him to the roster or place him on injured reserve.

Practicing next week would not necessarily mean he could play right away, and he is unlikely to be ready for the Packers’ Week 9 game against the Patriots.

Green Bay faces the Vikings after that, then has a bye, so his first possible game could be November 25 at the Rams.

A return would give a boost to a Packers defense that could use help, but Parsons must be confident in his repaired knee before playing.
