AMD revenue rises 45% as AI chip demand drives growth

AMD reported a 45% rise in third-quarter revenue to $13.4 billion, announcing the results in Santa Clara.

The company said strong demand for chips used in AI continued to drive its growth.

Operating profit also climbed 123% to $2.8 billion, and both revenue and profit beat expectations.

AMD expects about $17 billion in revenue this quarter, nearly two-thirds more than in the same quarter of 2025.

After the results, AMD shares rose more than 7% in after-hours trading to nearly $520, following a fall of about 30% from an early October record high.

The forecast points to further growth, while the results underline how demand for AI hardware is helping AMD expand.
