Coperni ends operations after founders fail to resolve dispute
Coperni founders Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer say the fashion brand has ceased operations.
The Paris-based label, founded in 2013, became widely known for a spray-on dress created on model Bella Hadid during a 2022 fashion show.
The closure follows months of conflict with Tomorrow, Coperni’s shareholder and distributor, over money the founders said was unpaid.
Coperni entered court-supervised restructuring in June as it tried to continue operating.
The founders also sought to buy the brand back from Progetto 11, which acquired Tomorrow in March.
Those efforts did not produce an agreement, the founders said.
They have not announced a plan to restart Coperni, though they said they remain optimistic about future creative work.

une entreprise déjà au cœur d’un conflit plus large concernant la propriété et la gouvernance, manquant de financement, ce qui a également entraîné l’annulation du dernier défilé, et dont les fondateurs cherchaient à reprendre le contrôle
