LeBron James says it is too early to discuss Finals after 76ers' 8-1 start

The Philadelphia 76ers improved to 8-1 by beating the Detroit Pistons 112-106.

LeBron James said it was too early to talk about the NBA Finals on November 4.

There is a notable precedent: each of the five previous James-led teams to start at least 7-1 reached the Finals.

Jaylen Brown scored 30 points and blocked Cade Cunningham late, while Joel Embiid had 26 points and 15 rebounds.

Sixers coach Nick Nurse also urged caution, saying the team should focus on improving its play rather than drawing long-term conclusions.

Tyrese Maxey and Adem Bona had injury concerns, and Nurse said he would give an update on Bona on Thursday.
