Saudi Stocks Post Their Biggest Daily Gain in About a Year

Saudi Arabia’s main TASI index rose about 3.2% on Monday, closing at 9,762 points.

The move followed five sessions of losses totalling about 7.4%, as the market recovered some of its recent decline.

Most listed shares rose, and trading activity was higher than its recent average, though accounts differed on the exact number of advancing and falling companies.

The rebound came as lower bond yields made shares more attractive relative to fixed-income investments, while the recent fall in share prices had reduced valuations.

The index’s close was also reported as its biggest daily rise in about a year, though one account described it as the biggest rise of 2026.

The gain does not show by itself that the market’s recovery will last or that investors have returned for the long term.

Further recovery may depend on bond yields continuing to fall and companies meeting earnings expectations, including for the third quarter.
