Fadel Shaker returns to live performances with Riyadh concert
Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker returned to the stage with a concert in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.
It was his first live concert in nearly 14 years, after a long absence from performing.
The show opened the seventh edition of Riyadh Season, a major entertainment programme in the Saudi capital.
Shaker performed well-known songs, and the audience sang along; his son Mohammed joined him for one song, and singer Nawal performed with him.
The return drew strong demand, with tickets for the first night selling out within minutes and a second show added.
Shaker said he had dreamed of making his comeback at Riyadh Season, and described the moment as difficult to put into words.
