Two surviving Dokdo defenders receive home repairs
Korea Habitat and professor Seo Kyung-duk repaired the homes of two surviving Dokdo defenders ahead of Dokdo Day on October 25.
The work covered entrances, windows, wallpaper and insulation in the two homes.
An online fundraiser launched on March 1 paid for the repairs, the first project in a housing support campaign for people honoured for service to South Korea.

The repairs aim to give the elderly veterans more comfortable homes and keep their service remembered.
Seo also released a five-minute video featuring an interview with one veteran and images of the work before and after; the repairs are complete.
