Russian IT companies earn $73.8 billion in first half of 2026

Russia’s accredited IT companies earned 6 trillion rubles in the first half of 2026, according to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

That is about $73.8 billion, and the figure covers companies recognized by the government as accredited IT firms.

Mishustin said their revenue was close to 8 trillion rubles for all of 2025, nearly 1.5 times the previous period.

The IT sector’s share of Russia’s economy has more than doubled in six years, he said.

Russia is expanding its register of domestic software, and businesses and state corporations are using these products in key parts of the economy.

Using local technology can reduce reliance on foreign suppliers and help improve production processes.

Mishustin said Russia should expand domestic software, cloud services and industrial systems while speeding up the launch of competitive technologies.
