Amazon raises Prime prices in Australia by up to 30%

Amazon has raised Prime prices in Australia to AU$12.99 a month or AU$99 a year, up from AU$9.99 and AU$79.

The new rates apply immediately to new subscribers, while existing members will pay them from their first renewal on or after November 25, 2026.

The monthly fee rises by 30% and the annual fee by 25%.

Prime still includes delivery benefits, Prime Video, music and reading services, games, and access to member sales.

The included benefits have not changed, though Amazon says the increase reflects expanded delivery, new video content and access to Alexa+.

The change comes ahead of Australia’s Black Friday and holiday sales, when subscribers may get better prices on some deals.

Members will face the higher price at renewal, and Amazon says subscribers can cancel at any time.

With the continued expansion of Prime member benefits, and so we can continue growing the offering, we will change the price of Prime to $12.99 per month or $99 per year. Prime has never offered as much value for members as it does today.
