Insua says San Lorenzo's current situation is more complex than in 2022
Ruben Darío Insua says his return to San Lorenzo is harder than in 2022 because the club is in a different situation.
The coach, who has a long history with the Buenos Aires club, said serious events had taken place there over the past three years.
San Lorenzo has faced upheaval involving its leadership, and Insua said relationships had deteriorated both on and off the pitch.
He said the club must make an extra effort to address those problems.
After three matches without a win, San Lorenzo beat Riestra, keeping a clean sheet and scoring its first points under Insua since his return.
The team now visits Estudiantes, a strong home side and a rival in the race for a place in the tournament's top eight.
Insua expects most of the team from the Riestra match to play, but suspended forward Cuello will be absent.

What people are saying
