Guangxi lending grew 4.2% in the first nine months of 2026

The People’s Bank of China’s Guangxi branch said the region’s financial activity remained stable in the first three quarters of 2026.

From January to September, new social financing totalled 3.85 trillion yuan, and loans made up 51.8% of that total.

At the end of September, bank deposits stood at 5.2 trillion yuan and loans at 5.9 trillion yuan.

Lending grew in several priority areas, including technology, where balances rose 14.7% year on year, and the digital economy, up 18%.

Manufacturing and small-business loans grew faster than overall lending, rising 13.3% and 8.9% respectively.

The Guangxi branch said it was directing finance toward major industries and smaller businesses to support the region’s economy and its start to China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period.
